I am trying to build a new portfolio to showcase my artwork to prospective schools, and I wanted to do some really stand-out work. One of my long-time wants has been to paint a large-scale work of a horse in the uncluttered style of George Stubbs.
Although I don't have any images of my work, here's an example of the style I want to exemplify (with my own stylistic additives, of course):
You can probably recognize the art easily enough, but not the name. He's pretty much the master of all things horse, hound, and English countryside.
Anyways, on to my request....
I need some clear photos of horses in profile (as the picture posted above) and I will use one (or many) of these pictures to base my work on. It will be a long time before it's completed because the canvas I plan to use will fill up most of a whole wall. If I can, I will take pictures to show some progress.
I'm not looking for any particular colours or special details, just well-conformed, clear pictures of arabians. In fact, even linking to photos that you know and love would be just fine.
Thanks for your time!
