Here are the sketches that I have done - they are waiting to be inked now :) The first is a little arab that I have sketched onto an A4 page and the second is a sketch on an A3 page - the largest drawing I have done :) They should be inked by next week, as long as I can buy the ink by then... :)
That large one is fantastic. It has a wonderful classical look. I think it would make an awesom etching. How big is A3? We don't use that measurement system. A4? Of course , we use the old inches, but I can figure in centimeters too.
That would correscepond roughly to our 81/2 by 11 inch letter size paper (used for most business papers) and "legal" size , which is 11 by 17 inches, which is used sometimes for small posters and such.
I use mostly paper that is 10.5 inches by 13.5 inches, so go figure how that relates to you A sizes. I prefer paper that is not too rectangular, as it forces the layout. The ratio should be pretty close to the "golden mean", and I forget exactly what that is, but it has been proven over the centuries to be one of the most pleasing rectangle ratios to the human eye.
