memorial for a very special boy

So my horse died this summer. When I met him, I was asked to work with him. He would rear up and flip over constantly and was the worst abuse case I have ever met. He ended up being a complete sweetheart and we had 4 amazing years together. He and I had an incredible connection that was beyond anything I've ever felt with an animal. When he was put down, he put his head on my lap and look his last breath looking peacefully into my eyes. The vet estimated him to be about 35 years old! So it would mean sooo much to me to see some sketchs/ paintings/ photo edits of him. I'd like to commission one if possible as well. So hear are some pics of him in all his adorable glory!

Sorry about your boy, he sounded lovely.

I did a rough sketch thing / trace of the original photo and had fun colouring it in. I was trying to not overblend the colours. Enjoy.

I agree that is a really nice picture. It has a certain feel to it, you can really feel the love off it. I would attempt it, but I need a lot of practice with people

Creampuff, that would be fun. After a kind of long dry spell, I have 4 commissions waiting for my attention! I am happy to have them. But, photos like that have so much appeal. Sometimes , doing portriats that I don't get to chose is not as much fun as picking the "fun" stuff.
