Not a horse, but photoshop request?

Hi! My dog is getting on in years. Attached is one of my favorite pictures of him, but it's awful. I am hopeless with photoshop, and am desperately hoping somebody can help me out. Can anyone with photoshop skills make it better? It would mean a lot to me if you could give it a shot.

I've also got a colored image of us that I like more, but my hair is blue and I hate it. So unless you could turn blue hair back into blond, I won't include it - If you think you can do it just let me know and I'll post it :)

Is this any better? I'm not sure what you were after... and this wasn't photoshop but tell me what you think...

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again

It's definitely sharper :) I guess my main three things I'm looking to accomplish are make the image sharper, reduce the ridiculous glare (like the pure white light glares on my face, dog's face, shoulder etc) and maybe make it less fuzzy. To look like it's a more decent picture, taken by a decent(er) camera. Not sure if that's all possible, because I don't know the first thing about photo editing, but I thought I would see.

I might be able to change the blue hair back to blonde. I would need another picture of what hue of blonde you are. You can just PM me if you want.

I could certainly give it a try. I haven't quite done anything like that, but I have changed eye color any other things on photos. Like CowboysDream said, it would be good to have one with your natural hair color in it as well.

Not much I could do about the blown highlights (there isn't really much detail that can be rescued out of there, and if I did too much, it would not look very natural). I did some work on your nose, and the dog's face.
