She gets it now. It should only take 1-2 posts from you saying you can't do this or this or that for her to say "OK I understand" and move on.

For heaven's sake she's a 13 year old who's new to editing...Give her a break!

Lildonkey the biggest issue is the fact she (and you to some extent) are playing the theft of images off as no big deal. I'm sorry, but it is. I have had my art work stolen from me and I know of others who have as well. Not a good thing to go through. You get caught stealing and using other people's works without their permission in witting or from a free use sight (keep track of where you get the images) and you could be prosecuted to the full extent that the law allows, which in some case is jail time and/or hefty fines.

There are people who will go directly to the artist if they see you are using the artist's work without even giving you a heads up, and the first time you hear about it is when the artist contacts you or their lawyer does.

Both of you are young and we are trying to get it across that this is theft no matter what way you spin it.

Hiding behind your age is a cop-out.

Do you think that a young child that steals from a store or other place isn't going to get in trouble? Maybe a warning the first time, but repeated stealing would/will be dealt with by the law with no regard to the fact they are young. At that point they should know better. Same concept applies here.

Marlea Warlea from your post I just pictured you rolling your eyes and Lildonkey I know where your coming from, it sucks to be ...... lectured about this sort of thing when you feel they have already made their point and you understand. I have been through it many times.

But even though you feel that way, you come across as only just realising and almost not caring. I'm not saying you don't but that is kind of how you are coming across. It is a big thing stealing and you can get into very big trouble for it.

Welcome to the entire reason the forum is essentially banning children. Someone is attempting to give you very solid advice, and instead of acting like a couple of brats who think they have free rein to do whatever they want on the internet, you should be thanking Nd_Appy for saving either of you from a potential lawsuit.
