Talking BEST scenario EVER!!

Hi!!

I just feel like sharing this awesomeness today...

So my horse, Lilly, is boarded all the way out in Creswell, which is 30 minutes away from where I live in Eugene. Board is $225/month and she spends most of her time out to pasture (in 4 nights a week). This is no bueno, because I go to see her 5x a week, so having her that far away is a MAJOR gas guzzler. Not to mention that spending 2 hours grooming her because she's caked in mud takes away from riding time..

Today, I got offered a job as a stablehand in Springfield, which is 10 minutes away. In exchange, I get free lessons! Board there is $190/month and she has her own stall and gets turned out/in (weather permitting). It's a really nice facility.

SO stoked!!

Thanks for letting me share :)

Very nice. =-) It's always good to combined the things we love with 'work'....and getting paid. I'm currently volunteering many, many, many hours at a stable I love in the hopes of it working into a part time position.
