The cheapest most effective fence I've put up is 5 foot no climb fence with railroad ties as post and a hot wire on the top and in the middle. If you are just looking for something to divide a pasture, the electric rope with t-post will work.

So in lies the madness, the pursuit of the impossible in the face of the complete assurance that you will fail, and yet still you chase.
