Fencing in hot weather

I must be nuts to even think about it, but.... Thank heaven it doesn't involve real posts but I have been setting up a nice area with push in posts and electric ribbon. The ground is hard so I use a cordless drill to start the holes for the pigtail pushins. The others I can hammer in. Do I wait for the cool evening breezes? That would be too easy. It seems to be a way of avoiding housework.

That's what I would do. Or get up at like 4:30 and do it then. Gosh this heat is just awful.

At 4:30 the mosquitoes are lying in wait. Once the heat is up they vanish. When it's too hot for them it's too hot for me also. Got it done and the horses enjoyed a couple of hours of grazing.

I have a similar problem. I work nights. So either I move their temporary pasture in the dark or in the afternoon heat because I sleep in the morning. Usually I just go out in the heat and get it done as quick as I can. Then go back in the AC before I go to work.

We did it hot part of day but we brought water and had our 6 wheeler haul stuff
