Once the bugs are gone the horses will barely "darken the doorstep". If windy, because it messes with their senses, you will find them bummed up to a wall so they can see all around and not have to worry about being attacked from behind. Mine leave the barn when it's windy and bum up against it. Even during cold winters they won't be inside.
