Looking for a Barn

I know this is a really stupid question and doesn't happen often but I am going crazy without my little man.

Right now my little sis is using him for 4-H but that could possibly change by summer. He is in AZ, I am in Albuquerque, NM. Right now I pay for his feed per month. When he needs more feed I send more money..... My husband is searching for a better job but nothing has come through yet so we cannot afford a home with land or to board him around here. Every place I find just costs way too much. If I find a place I don't have to travel 1/2 hour or more to get to I have no problem feeding and cleaning up after him..... He's very sweet and very good with other horses..... I miss him...

Have you tried posting a craigslist ad? Or an ad on a local ad site? Putting up signs in feed and tack shops can be helpful too.

Make a sign/ad listing stuff about your boy and what kind of place you're looking for.

Do you know any horsey people in your area? It helps to ask friends, because friends have friends who have friends who tend to know someone lol. I'd also recommend posting an ad on Craigslist and maybe even Horsetopia. Another thing you can do is head to your closest feed/tack shop and talk to the people there, they tend to be into livestock and have their own horses, they might know where you should start looking or they might even know of somewhere you could board! Good luck
