Need Some Serious Advice! Should I stay or go?!?
So I have been riding at my current barn (Lets call it Barn A) for the past 4 years. I absolutely love the barn owner, she has done A LOT for me in the past and I would never want to do anything to hurt her... But I moved my mare to another farm with an indoor (Let's call it Barn B) for the winter so she wouldn't get out of work, and I absolutely love it there! And now I don't know what to do... Im seriously thinking of keeping her at Barn B indefinitely, But I just don't know. I have 2 other horses at Barn A, and its hard running between 2 barns, but I would feel horrible leaving Barn A totally. And I just don't know what to do
Pro's and Con's of each farm
Barn A Pro's:
-All of my friends are there
-I know all of the horses
-I am one of the go-to people there
-Miles of GORGEOUS trails
-Good friends with the owner
-Horses are very well taken care of
-Large pastures (3+ acres each)
Barn A Con's:
-Gets too icy to ride at all in the winter
-Not a lot of showing opportunities
-Feel like Im not moving forward
-Am only able to ride my horses
Barn B Pro's:
-Can ride all winter
-Trainer who pushes me to move forward
-Am able to ride and work with lots of different horses
-Lots of opportunities to show, my horses and the barn owners horses
Barn B Con's:
-Expensive board ($200 more then Barn A)
-Horses don't get as much turnout in the winter
I mean all in all I'm really just worried about hurting the Barn A barn owner, as she has helped me out soooo much and I don't want to hurt her by leaving!! Advice please!
