I'm in the process of designing a paddock for my mare to turn out in the day-time house. It's approx one quarter of an acre large. I would prefer it to be dirt, I'm not concerned about growing grass, but if it does occasionally sprout that's not an issue.
What maintenance do you go thru on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis to keep your paddock up on maintenance and beautiful?
I want to avoid weeds, rocks & mud the most. Is there a special footing I should consider? Light wood chip covering?
Fencing is currently a temporary wire fencing. Not barbed, just plain wire and my horses respect it.
Tips and advice would be great, thank you!
