I have four horses that come in every night, and three of them are really good about keeping all four feet on the ground while in the stall. BUT I have one hell of a b****y mare that starts fights and has kicked her stall so bad its gone through the wall to the tack room on the other side. When I first got her last year she would rear up over the stall (sometimes getting her legs caught) so she could attack the other horses. I've since put wood there so she can't see the horse that's beside her but she still kicks at her stall (partly because she runs out of hay I think but she gets almost an entire square bale). So please tell me that there is wood out there that can withstand my mare's kicking, or ever idea on how to make the wood stronger so she can't kick through so easily!
I've tried blocking her off from the other horses completely, getting her a lick it/ball so she doesn't get bored but she just doesn't like being stalled and letting her out at night is not an option. I need strong wood! I've heard hemlock works good but the person also said it'd make my horse crib/suck on it because its got a sweet taste, which I don't want.
