Agreed! I got my foot broken because a mare reached out of a stall and bit the horse I was leading by. She jumped and landed on my foot.

The way it's set up they cants get to passing horses (if a human is walking by they have to go up to the horse, the horse can only give their "please give me pets face) and the horses are only next to horses they get along with. I know some people disagree but it works for us

Great ideas everyone!

Does anyone have any input on flies?! How to keep them down? How to keep them away?
We have cows at my house and the flies are horrible! Obviously... we don't do anything about it really, I just spray my horses with fly spray, but I don't want a bunch of flies around the RV park. We will definitely have to haul manure off to a distant location.
At my old riding barn we use to have 2 liters hanging with water inside of them. I have also heard pennies in gallon bags of water?

Any of you have some good fly tricks!?! :)

Fly Predators, they'll wipe out the fly population. My old stable started using them a few years back and my did it make a difference. My use of fly spray seriously decreased. Our share was a once a year fee of $15 for our two horses.

Did a quick google search just so you could see what I was talking about:

Thanks Darrin! I talked to my dad about it tonight and he shrugged it off like it wasn't a problem- he said oh we can just spray. not that big of a deal! haha
I guess I was thinking more on the terms that our permanent people might get upset, but I will tell him about this!
