*2013* Season results!

Starting a thread for EVERYBODY to post and keep us all updated about how our races went, ect! :)

Conformation is how far the horse CAN go,
Mind is how far the horse WILL go,
Training is how far it DOES go.

This will be fun! I was going to one on April 4th but the person who was taking me, her mother invited family members to come stay for the weekend, and refuses to trailer us now.

Went to the first outside show of the season. I was very happy with Link and how he ran. A 15.89 won the Open and we ran a 16.40, just one out of placing in the 2D unfortunately. But we should have more IBRA points anyway.
Here's my run

I went to an Open show in March with miss Rosie. I'm 18 and they wouldn't let me show adult (I thought that was odd) so I had to show youth. I got a dirty look from some of the younger, really competitive girls (about 14ish) when Rosie would smoke em. Hey, I leveled the playing field. I may be older, but ya'll are riding young ponies! Rosie is 22, and was a little out of shape.

We got youth speed champion(:

We had our 3rd show yesterday and I knocked or I would have been Youth 4D leader in our district. And today we went to a local barrel series and bombed. The fastest time ran was a 14.3 and Blaze ran a 19.5. He fought me all the way from 2nd until we got around 3rd. I went and signed up for an Open run so I could try and work out some of his kinks. We ran a 17.something that time but I didn't let him run, I held him back and made him work. The problem is I'm not doing everything I need to do to help him and he gets all confused. So I'm going to make one of my trainers ride and run him and see if they can help me more that way. Ughhhh, I'm getting discouraged with this. :/

We just had our second NBHA show this past weekend April 6th. We have made alot of progress in just 2 shows. We cantered the pattern wonderfully. We would have had a faster time had we been able to get there earlier and do some exhibitions to practice. The barn we are at hasn't had the dirt done in the ring yet this year so we can do a whole lot of practice with the barrels.
In comparison our very first show he was out of pattern and our time would have been like a 39. Something. This time we did the pattern correctly, and our time was a 28. Something. Definitely getting there! We are practicing our circles this week and just need to go alot faster. LOL

Couple weeks ago we had our first ABRA run of the year. We ran a 17.5 and 17.6, so pretty consistent, which put us 3rd in the 3D. Jot bad for the first run of the year and only our 3rd actual jackpot!
