Aluminum Barrel Stirrups

I just bought a pair of aluminum barrel stirrups and after I put them on I realized that the are curved! Does the curve face into the horse or out? I've always used rawhide stirrups but I thought I would try something new.

Here is a picture of them:

So when they are hanging down flat against the horses side would the curve be against them or facing out? Sorry! I am having a hard time envisioning them with my feet in them to try and figure it out that way.

They would look great! I got them for Christmas this year but if you search aluminum barrel stirrups in google they will come up! :) They are kind of pricey though! My dad got them cheaper at a tack shop. I love the purple in her/his tail! What brand is it? I was thinking about getting one for my mare but the ones I was looking at seemed to expensive for something that she will probably figure out how to ruin. She is very good at that! Lol!

I'm definitely going to have to get some. LOL I'm so obsessed.

I got those particular extensions here:

Colorful Manes and Tails - Home

I LOVE them. I ordered four, my cat absolutely SHREDDED one, soooo now I ride with three. Lol I was worried about the clips not being strong enough, I clipped them in my hair and tried to pull and I couldn't for the life of my get them out. I think I would have ripped my own hair out before those puppies came loose.

That sounds awesome! I'm guilty, at every barrel race, I always cheer hardest for the horses in matching tack....;D
