Any barrel racing Appys?

So I eventually want to start Working moo on the barrel pattern again once the weather gets warmer. Anyone else out there that has brought some color to the barrel world? Share!

When I was the wee ages of about 4 years old to 7 years old, me and my trusty Appy "Cheyenne" did quite well in both barrels and poles! In my age division, of course. We also were the "crazy poles" champion for 4 years running at one annual show!

These days, I ride a breeding stock APHA gelding.

I've never actually ran an appy, but I see the all the time! They're quite excellent if they're trained right, but what horse isn't :) I love watching those spots-a-flyin'!

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

My ex barrel horse (pony) was a POA. Not appy, but, he did bring color to the barrel world. He is 13.3 and was amazing.

The horse I learned to ride on was an appy and he was the best horse I ever had! Had the most heart I've ever found in a horse, he was supposed to be 20 when I got him but I learned later from his past owner he was actually 31. Still loved running barrels with me though. My dad still rides an appy at gymkhana, and he loves his job!
