    Okay, so first off I NEVER do the same barrel pattern two days in a row. I'll do the cloverleaf one day, a weave the next, figure eights, and sometimes just lope circles around one.

    Second, I always preach RATE RATE RATE! Run once, then right after just walk it. Go into the chute, then walk back out. Walk in and just do a circle around the arena and walk out again.

    Third, OF COURSE you should mix it up! I really hate it when people drill their horses into the ground and turn them into drones.

    Fourth, I also preach that sometimes you should go at the barrel and stop. Justgo and stop next to it, then just let the horse stand and relax. Let them know that the aren't always going to be turning hard.
