Barrel raceing vs english

Which sport is bettter? Everyone thinks we have to chosse but to be honest I like barrel racing alot its my personal favorite sport but I love jumping too I don't think we should have to choose do you?

You'd have to define "better" for the context of the discussion. They are two different sports. No general better with either of them.

That would be similar to asking what is better, football or basketball? Or Ford versus Chevy? Or salty snacks versus sweet snacks?

There isn't a "better". While everyone will have an opinion on the matter, it will ultimately depend on what the person likes. Some people will like both, while others will like one or the other.

I no that's what im say I don't think there is a better sport but alot of people say that there is but I think its on personal preference

My daughter is English trained, but LOVES barrels and other horseback games/sports.

As long as the rider (and horse) are having fun, that's all that really matters.

You don't really have to choose. Not all horses can do both and not everyone can afford multiple horses, so sometimes circumstances make it so that you have to.

I've ridden primarily english my entire riding career, it really wasn't until last summer when for fun I entered my friends 4 year old mare in rookie horse gymkhana that I fell in love with barrels... Personal preference.
