I'm absolutely in LOVE with this headstall...

I like it! Does it come in green with a clover design?

It should be horse listening, not horse whispering

Do you guys like a palomino in red? I'm thinking I may be switching Ruger's colors...for the tenth time. :P Want another set and I already have pink, purple, silver, and black.

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

Drum -Hmmmmm I have tons of pairs, but KO Trading has never failed me yet. Lots of cute yet durable ones and the straps I have are great quality. Brand-wise besides KO try Circle Y I had my last pair for 8 years before I got rid of them, or Weaver has some as well that are okay. If you go Weaver though I'd take a look in person don't order them online.

If you're looking for custom ones check out KB Custom Creations or Magics Custom Tack on FB. They both do spur straps and for the most part they cost what a nice normal pair would. (:

CLaPorte- LOVE that headstall! Wow not usually a pink or butterfly fan. What brand is it if I may ask?

Sorrel- I think the red would look great on him. I've always thought red looked sharp on pallys. Gotta' be tough though not too girly for him. ;) LOTS of bling too, lol.

I think red looks sharp on a palomino. That the nice thing about them; just about any color goes!

When Shotgun "grows up", he's going to be outfitted in orange (hunting orange, that is) to live up to his name. However, I am finding that red tones really pop against his dark grey color.

Now for Red, I haven't really found a color I like the best on him. He's a red roan so colors don't exactly "pop" on him. However, he does look nice in red as well, which I guess would match his name, haha. I do have white boots for him though because he's so flashy with his stripe down his nose, and 3 white socks, I didn't want to cover up the FLASH with boots.

I love KO Trading.. They haven't ever failed me either. I stalked Magic's Custom last night and may order a custom pair from her. I love flashy but new job isn't as fond of bling as I am! Boo! Have to hang up my barrel saddle for a while. :/ don't get me wrong I'm very excited and it's an amazing opportunity for me that I just can't turn down.. Going to miss barrels though.

I like red on palominos.. I think if done right it looks awesome.

Beau I'm soon riding a red roan and I'm putting white on him. I think it looks amazing on red roans. Very classy!

Drum what are you going to be doing?

I like white on roans too, looks great and if you want "bling" it always pops on white and really shines.

I start riding/learning/training under a professional cutting and ranch sorting horse trainer in February. I'll be doing a lot of riding and traveling to shows and I've decided to give up barrels for a little while to make that my main focus right now. I'll be riding greenies and finished horses, showing and seasoning horses..starting 2 year olds, working with weanlings and yearlings.. And helping with breeding and foaling..

Best part: NO grunt work!!

Well good luck with the new job endeavor Drum!! The time will fly fast. You'll be back running barrels before you know it.

I put my barrel racing on hold for just about 8 years (4 of those were out of the state and were very horse deprived years) while I went to school to become an eye doctor. Sure, I got to go to one show here and there and got to see my horses on breaks, but that's about it. It feels great to finally be done, finally have a great trailer, and finally getting a new-ish pickup in the next month or so, and that I can go to the barrel races where I want and when I want!

Wow Drum, room in your suitcase for me! ;) What a great opportunity, I wish more things were available in my area. That'd be a dream for me! Congratulations though for snagging the chance. I know you'll have a blast, be sure to post pictures on your FB so I can see!

Beau - Eight years that's a LONG time, are you done now? What a good thing to go into! (:
