Are you allowing enough room to come in? Is she blowing by the barrel or drifting around coming out?
A video would really be the best way to help.

She has a steady canter coming to it. I believe you would say as she comes out of the barrel she goes wide

Say you're running to the first barrel- don't try to get in and hug the barrel swing it wide like you're trying to turn a big truck in a tight drive way but don't try to get up really close- keep some distance from your leg and the barrel and shell find the 'pocket' and slide around real nice.

I know most barrel racers will give a constant pull on the rein but it works better for me when I pull release pull release pull release pull release around the barrels.

How long have you been training her for barrels?

I have been riding her around barrels for about 3 years but she is also trained show jumping. The people before me rode barrels non competitivly for 2 years. She can get times of 19 seconds on a good day (ex-racer so can get some speed)

Can you post a video? It's hard to guess what may be going on.

On a side note, time in seconds on a barrel pattern doesn't mean anything because almost every barrel pattern is going to be a different size. The only way you can compare one barrel time to another is if they were both run on a standard pattern.

It was a standard rodeo size pattern
