On a serious note....do some quarter horses actually cost $200,000.00?
I've DVR'd it just to see how ridiculous it is.

If a show record/breeding record/bloodline is seriously spectacular, people will pay!

My goodness that show is one hot mess... I was so baffled by the insanity of it all. Not at all how the sport is. Drama drama drama...

In a way it sort of makes all horsewomen look bad, because someone watching the show who doesn't know any better will have some very strong opinions.

The same producers did a show called Dog Show Moms a few years ago. Another show full of drama drama drama that made dog shows look like a joke, not truthful at all, but good to watch I suppose.
This show about barrel racing is just to stupid.... kinda like watching The search for Bigfoot. Good for a laugh and total nonsense. Course, it might make more people hope that they will see all the backstabbing, drinking, partying and carrying on if they come to watch a rodeo.

I watched the first episode and I couldn't stand it. I won't be watching another. I understand that they have to "create" some things to make reality TV entertaining, but it's too much for me. Too forced. I guess that's why I really don't watch any reality TV for the most part, like Housewives, Jersey Shore, Kardashians, etc. If I am going to watch actors and actresses on a reality show, I might as well watch a fictional show.

I guess in part it also bothers me that so many things about barrel racing are portrayed incorrectly. Yes, they are going to change things for a reality show, but maybe that's what I don't like. There's no airhorn to signal the start of your run. All the girls are not going to run one after the other. A simple stumble around the barrel (and not a "fall" as she tried to explain it) is not going to make you run a 23-sec run, when the winning time is a 17-something. And I'm pretty sure the price tag on that horse was NOT $200,000 (I heard it was actually around $80,000).

I guess I just don't like forced and made-up drama on a "reality" show. To each his own.

I watched the first episode and all I could think about is "why is there and air horn?".

In all seriousness this show needs to end. I'm sure some of these girls are nice ladies that need the money to stay on the road. They might not realize how much the show is spinning them into stupid skanks. From what I've read it sounds like the Darcy lady bought the show so she could pretend to be famous again. She clearly can't ride if she is spending 200,000 or even 80,000 on a horse and still loosing that bad. Its also pretty clear she can't ride from watching the clips of her run. I can run poles faster than their barrels and I'm not that good of a gamer.

If they would make the show less about fake drama that never really happens at rodeos and more about the girls and their horses it might be fun to watch. I think most horse people can agree there is enough real drama at horse show for a reality tv show without all the drinking and complaining. But most of it is not sexy and too horse related for the general public to understand.

Darcy is definitely my least favorite of the group. From what I understand, she's still very new to the sport yet has been obnoxious and rude, wanting to beat those that have worked their @$$es off to get to where they are. Money does not make you a better rider. While the others talking about her behind her back isn't necessarily something that doesn't happen in the real world, Darcy made a huge deal about it even though everything they said was right... She drives me crazy.

I like the blond, married lady. She seems pretty genuine. The younger girls are probably made out to be much worse than they really are. I just wish for once a reality show actually portrays reality.

I'll admit to enjoying the last episode, if only because it kept me laughing! It's no worse than any other reality TV show, you just have to remember not to expect much out of "reality" TV to start with ;)

This show is not a documentary on barrel racing, it's a scripted reality show. I will admit, it's quickly becoming my guilty pleasure viewing, lol.

I don't care for the show...But I'll take that grey horse any day of the week. *DROOL!!!*

And...What group of girls...that don't like one another...all wait for each other at the trailers? Ha! In RL, everyone is looking out for number one, not standing around waiting on one person when their horse needs to be warmed up.

At least they can ride a horse...I was half expected "greenies" up there...But overall, they are pretty decent.

And $200,000? Shoot! She got ripped off. For that kind on money, that horse should be in the low 16's...No matter who the rider is.
