Well Things have been going GREAT! I will first like to show the day in the bottom pasture working JJ and Polly a few weeks ago :)
Then we had NBHA Finals! Which was SO much fun! I just took JJ because stalls were to much and they had a stupid exhibition rule plus entries for finals are higher then the jackpots and had already dished out enough for 3 runs....
Friday Night Jackpot race
Saturday (Spirit Day!)
So I will first tell you about the weekend THEN show pictures of the weekend lol....will probably be two posts!
Ok so the first 2 runs were very nice runs except it was smokier then a dog and he has breathing problems as is. So after he got done run he was huffing for air and just couldn't catch air which is why he didn't clock. So a good friend gave us some stuff to feed to him that night and some Finish Line Air Power to give to him before we ran....and he clocked like I know he can :) Was very pleased with his runs that weekend and he gave me everything he had. Got 3rd in the Youth 1D average and got a cool Picture/Buckle Case. Also got some cash throughout the weekend but was out of the average in the 1D by 3. Also got Spirit Award for the Spirit day! And got a Luans Leathers Tie-Down.
Then we had the chiro out after we got home......he was SOOO out! I felt TERRIBLE! Good lord he was out 3 places in his neck, his withers were out, he ran his hands across his back like feather touch. JJ whipped his head around and was on the hunt for meat along with swinging his butt over and cocking a back leg like he was going to kick him! And this is NOT JJ that normally gets adjusted! He normally sighs and licks his lips as soon as Nathan gets out of his truck and walks over to him then leans into and just melts. We had him adjusted the week before we had to leave but I should have had him re checked a few days before we left.
Me and my bestie and sister for life KJ
Don't mind me JJ is such a beast after he runs and is dragging me around and me trying to hold him there is like trying to hold a freight train.
Alright now for last weekend at White Swan with over 750 runners and a late night! It was a FANTASTIC weekend! Couldn't as for better! Took JJ and Scrat and entered Scrat in the open and he worked SO AMAZING! I was so proud of the Scratster! No anticipating barrels and ALL relaxed! Little man is growing up lol!
Was also VERY please with JJ as he worked all 3 barrels BEAUTIFULLY! The pattern was a standard, in a HUGE arena, and the barrels were off the wall so I really made sure JJ rated and listened on the 1st cause I KNOW he would have taken me to the wall that was about a good 30 ft from the barrel :) Ran a 18.1 ground was deep and sorta sticky but got faster and fluffier as the day went on. For the first 100 the fast time was a 17.9 and some of the fast horses of the NW were clocking 18s. And a lot of blown barrels because peoples horses are so used to have WALLS for security. Was just out of the money in the 2D.
And we leave this coming Wednesday for AW4D Finals in Winnemucca NV! Love the AW4D finals super fun race I look forward to! So taking JJ and Scrat to fart around on and as a baby sitter for JJ. Will do a couple Exhibitions and if he works good I will late enter him one day in the Open :)
So that is the latest if anybody cares lol!
