    Is this better?

    Practicing our second barrel put cones up to show him where the pocket is. Is my pocket correct? If its alittle wide I like to practice that way so when we run he gets closer. George practice 1 - YouTube

    I'd say your second barrel looks pretty good. And you are correct to say that is is okay to have a larger pocket when you are going slower, because they'll suck it smaller when you add speed.

    I would, however, be careful on your 3rd barrel. You are cutting that one close. Push him deeper in the pocket before you turn.

    Thank you I wanted to get different opinions on my second barrel to see if our pocket was good. And I know the third was close on other videos I took for that day I set a cone in the back where we pivot. My mom said "don't get that close on ur third or his big butt will knock it over" lol

    It looks good!
    Just remember to check your horse before each barrel. Itll teach him how to rate his speed and change leads. Your horse changed leads almost too late going to the second, and ended up cross-fireing(front and back feet both on different leads) around it. Its not a huge deal, but makes for a bumpy ride and could deffinitly take a few tenths of seconds off. Looks good though!!!

    Ya that arena has bad footing and he wont switch his lead until right before the barrel so he doesn't slip
