cabin fever rant
I guess I can't complain too much, but this week has been the mushiest weather. We had just started to dry up and yesterday got dumped on again. There is no covered arena at the barn so I gave it today to dry up a little and then tomorrow night I'm going to have to get out there and start lungeing my horse. Its been like a week since I rode! I normally work him to keep his stamina up, we have a show coming up in 2 weeks. So not only am I dying to be able to go ride, but just atleast exercise him. For now I'll be sitting in tonight making a list of all horse show stuff to pack. Not to mention tomorrow lots of show stuff coming in the mail! I'm so excited.
I'm thinking I'll atleast work him 4/5 days a week. I hope that will help him make good runs and not get too tired at our first show.
Horses change lives. They give our young people confidence and self esteem. They provide peace and tranquility to troubled souls- they give us hope!
