Considering new conchos.

Soo..I was at a boutique and a saddle caught my eye..it was a rather old Martha Josey saddle..it was that older style of barrel saddle, back when rawhide with silver lacing was on EVERY inch of the saddle!:P But, it had new conchos that were decked out in crystals. I fell in love with it, but they wanted $1800 for it. UH yeah no thanks.

So that got me thinking about doing that to my saddle. Mine is quite a bit newer than that one however! I thought about maybe square conchos with lots of crystals, and put a few on the silver plating on the rear cinch slot thingy.

Thoughts?

I dont blame your for not buying that saddle. That's just too much, but im sure I would have fallen in love with it too.

I've actually been thinking about doing the same to my saddle. I've been looking at some conchos and stuff to deck out my saddle. I have a Billy Cook and it's just so plain. I love blingy things on my greys.

You should totally do that to your saddle, I like your saddle and I think it would look good. Have you thought about where you are going to buy conchos from? I have been looking at the people and facebook that custom make them, for example Deuces Wild is my favorite tack maker on facebook. I love her conchos!

Don't judge me, but I have a HUGE obsession with Pin-Ups and that kind of style....I love expressing femininity and confidence in your appearance, along with the sassy and vintage mixed with modern look I love.

I'm really thinking about making my own conchos. Wither or not they are "gaudy" to some, that's up for argument, but it's more my style. I'm pretty crafty, so I'm not super worried about making them myself.
Something like this, but with more sparkles!:

Girl..love the idea but it's way cheaper to make your own conchos..it's what I do.. just google plain conchos and the crystals you want. I use e-6000 glue, it's been the best stuff. Order your crystals from crystals2love.com... she's the cheapest Ive found and I just pick color and sizes I like then order by the gross (144)...way worth it and better than spending a small fortune on conchos.

Make sure you order flatback crystals...if you have any questions just message or facebook me.

Don't be jealous! My dad doesn't even know how to spell it -.- lmao! I just wish it was spelled Cayenne. Everytime people ask me how to say my name (which is at least twice a day) I have to say "Kaiann, like the pepper." I like your name..it's normal but pretty!:P
