when I first started my mare on the pattern she had quite a cross firing issue and so when we would add speed we fell several times through a couple years on the backside of third, right over on top of me. It sucks and hurts pretty good going that fast and out of nowhere falling, but you just have to get back up and continue on. I have been in countless horse wrecks in my life. Heck when my mare was 2 and we just started her saddle training she reared up and me being the "trainer" was bound to ride her through it, well she lost footing and came back over on top of me. A ride to the emergency room, a broken wrist and broken tailbone later, I still made myself get back on. It is scary sometimes but never give up! :)

If you aren't scared, you aren't running fast enough!
