First Pro Rodeo....AMAZING

So Sisters....

WAS AMAZING! OMG! I had SO much fun! It was really cold and raining all day but had stopped about 20 minutes before the barrels. But was still cold (could see your breath, winter cold...course it is in the mountains lol).

JJ worked amazing! He handled everything like a champ and it was a full house and LOUD....he handled it like a champ and didn't care about anything. He loved the crowd to be honest, he feeds off of their energy and loudness.

He came back to me beautifully on the first barrel, I didn't help him much on the 2nd but wasn't sure if he was going to be ratey (has been ratey lately) so we lost time their. But he had only had a week of riding after having over two weeks off because of a minor injury, then it rained 3 days before we left so I couldn't ride him and barely was able to make a run. So he didn't really have a lot of air and you could see he was puttering out going to 3rd and when the crowd came alive he tried to push himself even more lol.

I wasn't expecting to go out their and kick ass because I knew he had no air...but I am so happy with how he worked! Couldn't have asked for anything better from him.

Now for me........wow! What a RUSH...I am HOOKED. I am a very nervous person...not an ounce of nerves the entire time or when I went in. I felt way more comfortable and relaxed their then I have at any barrel race. I felt like that is where I belonged.

I didn't get many pictures but here are a few random ones lol....

Getting ready to load up (Waiting for the other part of the gang to show up as well lol)

Riding in the arena after we got there

Outside the Arena

Chilling after our ride

Entrance

Rodeo Time!!!!

Ready to head out! And a tired traveling Jack Russel lol

For any Brenda fans out their she ran a 17.61 and is tied for the lead right now :) Wish I could have got it on video but was taking wraps off my horse and her Mom had my Video camera and my phone was in the trailer lol.

So I had a FANTASTIC time! Ready for the next one!

Very nice! Maybe you should start hauling down here so I can see you and JJ run in person...And JJ can be spoiled like Selena for a night at some of our PRCA rodeos....-shifty eyes-

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...

Nice! Love the pics!

I used to work on a ranch close to Sisters! I think its a well run rodeo and it was always so much fun. It seems like it is either pouring rain and cold or blazing hot that weekend, nothing in between! LOL
