Oh it was the 5th or 6th time I had saddled him when he did it. I think he was just being a drama queen.

See? Look at this goofball. He was yawning after his "hugely strenuous" 10 minute ride in the corral.

Hey, somedays after ten minutes in the corral I'm exhausted too!

Lol. I'm glad he did so well. My qh mare that I am breaking in has a fit when I saddle her, even though I've done it a thousand times. I finally started cross tying her and she settled right down. She sure is stating to ride good.

Yay Beau! I'm at the exact same stage with a horse I'm working with currently (I had only intended to teach her ground manners, but one thing has lead to another...) so it's really exciting to see your progress. I look forward to hearing more! He looks like a super sweetie.

Last night, we ventured a ride into the pasture for ride #5!! He did fantastic, although his "go" button still doesn't work that great. I wanted to get him to trot on this ride, and the first time I asked him to trot, he actually stopped instead...... Oh well! I guess that's okay.

The lady I board with was riding with me, so that she could trot ahead and Shotgun could learn by example.

    This is my favorite picture!!

Yea! He's going to be a monster!! To give you an idea on his height, I am a long-legged 5'6" tall and look where my legs fall on him!

When I ride him, he feels like a HORSE!

Okay, so rain is good and all ..... but going on 4 days of straight rain is really preventing me from riding my colt!!

I'm glad I already rode him out in the pasture, because it is going to be a good week before the corral is dry enough to ride in. Eveything is a mud mess!
