~N**F**R~

SOOO excited for the 6th to get here!!

Alright sooooooooo who are you all rooting for in the Barrels?

I am of course rooting for team MAZ! I also am rooting for Mary Walker, I think she could come in an really smoke them and have a good feeling she is going to! Also Lindsay and Martha the epic amazing duo! And the one of the first timers Christy Loflin.

I don't really know who is in any of the other events, I will decide who I am rooting for there during the first night lol!

I'd have to say my favorite to watch run is Lindsay and Martha. I just love her wrap around turning style.

But I'm going to have to root for my Badlands girls: Lisa Lockhart and Nikki Steffes!!

Although, what amazing obstacles Mary Walker has overcome!!! Go girl.

And since I still think it was so stupid to change to the GAC channel (that I don't get .... grrr.... ) I will just have to wait until the next morning when someone posts it on Youtube!

I am GLAD they switched it to GAC lol....now we actually get to watch ALL of the barrel racing and it is LIVE every night. Hated ESPNs coverage of it.....also got tired of watching Viagra commercials all night lol!

Always rooting for Trevor Brazile in everything he does, as well as Clayton Savage in bulls. Clif Cooper in tiedown. Also Russel Cardoza (Roper) since he's from Oregon.

Now for the barrels...

Brittany Pozzi definitely. I LOVE Duke. He reminds me of Ruger.

Carlee Pierce since she holds the record now, and she rides very well.

Brenda is a given, she's my home state and Jethro/Dora are both just the cutest things in person so I'm slightly bias.

Benette Little, I love the horses she has under her at the moment.

Lisa Lockhart, another one of my favorites, always incredible to watch.

Nikki Steffes, been watching her for awhile.

Lindsay is also kind of a given...I mean, it's Lindsay, and Martha. Come on.

I would say Sherry but everyone just assumes her and Stingray will do well.

Does that count as too many favorites?

She knocked TWO barrels, unfortunately. I was bummed to see that too, since they are the arena record holders!!

I'm really happy for Mary Walker's win. What a great way to start out her NFR after all she's been through!

I'm super sad Lindsay and Martha hit a barrel. They never hit one.

I hope my South Dakota badlands girls fare better tonight and place in the money!

Yikes! I had just heard one! Ugh.. I wasn't able to watch it last night and I'm not going to be able to tonight, driving back to Ga.. I'm anxious to hear how she'll do on Hammer. I haven't seen him run..

I think Mary Walker is amazing, she deserves to be up there on top.

Ladies....she went for the TRIPLE and GOT it! All 3 down...

I was super excited for Mary as well! As for Lindsay I think she should have went with Moe....because she hasn't ran Martha since Calgary when she had that nasty slip and got hurt.

I almost thought it was all 3 barrels, because she knicked the first barrel and it looked like it was going over, but the camera never had it in the picture so I couldn't see if it fell over until they showed her time.

I stayed up late to watch last night, because my husband pointed out to me a few days ago that we DO get the GAC channel!!!!! Probably won't stay up every night, which means DVR is amazing!!

Haha ..... aren't you glad I can do math in my head?

For some reason I was thinking 19 seconds plus 10 seconds (2 barrels) equals her 29 seconds. Duh!!!!! Not sure where I got 19 seconds from ......

Dang. It WAS all three.

Carlee knocked a barrel...

Sherry had a pretty solid run, I think sitting 3rd

Mary won the round 13.8

Lindsey did really well..

Brittany right outside of the top 4.

Lisa knocked a barrel.

I'll see the placings in a bit!

I must have missed Brenda! Or had to have been typing my last post..

Hammer looks like he could do well but Carlee doesn't look near as comfortable on him as she does Dillon.

Mary did have a really good run. How tall is Latte? That's a lot of leg!

WOW! CRAZY! She does it again! Mary takes hold of Round 3!

Jethro also fired better tonight! Went from 14.4,14.2, and now a 13.9! So did Martha!

Man this is a EXCITING NFR! Wow 7 more rounds to go!

I know!! Tonight was close!! I can't believe that three way tie.. It was an edge of my seat kinda deal.

So excited to see what happens tomorrow night.

I didn't realize that Hammer was only 5.. I don't know if that's a smart decision by Carlee at all.. I hope se brings Dillon back tomorrow night.

I would really be excited if Mary catches up to Brittany for the world title. How awesome would that be??

I believe she ran him at the CFR and he was doing really good....BUT he IS only 5 and still young. And with that much energy in there I can easily see how a horse could get over whelmed easily.

I know I think she can if she keeps up the way she is going.....

#25 ·
Yep, I think she won the third go round and set the arena record at the CFR.. I was expecting big things from her after last year and her year so far.. Sucks she's having such a hard time with it. I creeped her Facebook and a few people are getting pretty harsh on it..

I think Carlee is really just feeling the pressure. She needs to just relax and ride like she's ridden at every other rodeo before, and at this point just get the day money. You could see she pulled up Hammer before she even got past the barrel, she knew. She needs to get back on Dillon now I think.

Brenda did do a lot better and I'm super happy about that, I still think she should get on Dora for a few rounds though and just see.

I'm really excited that Mary Walker has gone 3 for 3 so far! That's incredible. I wonder what the record is for the most rounds won at the NFR? My guess would be that Charmayne and Scampler hold that record.

And I'm feeling bad for Carlee. She's over-thinking things and/or not thinking enough. Her knocked barrels have looked mostly like pilot errors. (Certainly not saying I could do better! I can't even imagine the pressure and intensity inside the Thomas and Mack) I just hope she can pull it together. Her and Dillion are the arena record holders after all.

#28 ·
Charmayne is one of a few that have won all ten rounds.

Mary Walker will not be joining that list tonight with a tipped barrel...

Glad to see Sherry stepping up and reppin' the veterans though. Brenda ran decent tonight but I still would like to see her winning some money. And those studly horses are just ridiculous out there, especially Rascal.
