Good barrel horse?

This is a gelding that I have from my paint stallion and paint barrel horse. I had plans of barrel racing racing him. I am wondering what you think about his conformation and if you think he is built good. As a baby he walked funny and was really clumsy. He is a lot better now but a little bit clumsy still. We thought that he had a spinal issues or growth problems but the vet checked him out and said he was fine. He is three now. The pictures were taken when he was two. These are the best shots I can find, sorry!
