Gumby the Amazing Barrel Setter

Holly and I had a barrel race October 27th. At that barrel race they also had a costume class, Holly and Tucker were Gumby and Pokey.. Well, Gumby caused such a riot that during 12 and under cloverleaf while she and I were working the arena Gumby needed to set up a few barrels.. Gumby had everyone laughing way too hard that day.. I had to share the video. There are also pics to come.

Way cooler than someone sitting in a lawn chair against the fence!

Lol Gumby and Pokey.. Side note: Pokey stayed orange, even after a both, for over a week. MMFoundationQuarters visited while her family were on their way home from Florida and Pokey was still Pokey.

Later when the running started.. Pokey is not looking so Pokey anymore.


Nikki and I were The Cookie Monster and a chocolate chip cookie for the costume class. I didn't do much for our costume, but I did have one darn cute chocolate chip cookie.. Funny story.. There was a "Mystery Machine" (The van on Scooby Doo) in the class with us. It's big pieces of painted cardboard around the horse and the girl is Scooby.. Nikki and I were one of the first in the arena and I didn't see this Mystery Machine.. Nikki did.. Before I knew what was happening my Chocolate Chip Cookie bolts sideways, snorting, perking her ears at this thing, turns around and stares at it.. She almost leaves me sitting midair because I wasn't expecting it, everyone dies laughing..


I ended up making her spots bigger before the class but you get the idea.


We ended up wearing out costumes around while trick-or-treating and giving the kids candy in the arena..


This is what Pokey aka Tucker usually looks like.. Holly would go to lope circles and warm up, I'd look for the palomino to start loping circles beside her and it took me a little bit to realize Tucker was orange and not a palomino anymore..

I love it! Thank you for sharing! You all looked great. I can barely see the mystery machine in the one pic behind you guys, lol.

LOL Yes!! I hadn't seen it in the picture! Nikki was terrified of it.
