Had a great Saturday!

Had another race at our place yesterday and all 3 of the horses worked great! I was kinda iffy on how they were going to do since JJ got rode 2 times during the week and the others...once lol. It had rained all week so they got to sit and chill the whole week lol.

They all worked GREAT! I for sure thought Zoey was gonna be a quircky little princess...she was a dead head lol! And completely focused and did great lol. JJ worked AWESOME! Ran his fastest time ever in our pen! And Scrat wow! He really worked great! Didn't anticipate ONCE I was so stoked lol! And he also ran his fastest time EVER. I won checks on all 3, and Zoey won her first check! Her run would have been faster but her jockey got distracted on the way home lol! I for sure thought my saddle was slipping so I was looking down at it.....as she proceeded to go slower and slower and drift over lol! Oh well she turned her barrels great!

Conformation is how far the horse CAN go,
Mind is how far the horse WILL go,
Training is how far it DOES go.

Cool! I love JJ, he looks amazing :) My horse is still in his first year and every pen we go in that he hasn't seen before the first exhibition run ends up being all squirrely because he is looking at everything.lol took me a while to figure that out, but when I do plenty of exhibitions my run turns out great :) He's so nosy. Can't wait til we are running like that.

Horses change lives. They give our young people confidence and self esteem. They provide peace and tranquility to troubled souls- they give us hope!

JJ made you lose your hat. Very nice run!

I can't wait until Red is seasoned and finished. Then I can't wait until Shotgun is seasoned and finished. Being he isn't really even riding yet, I've got a looooong way to wait.

It is not enough to know how to ride; one must know how to fall.
