    Smile It is happening again!

I swear it never fails about every few months I have what I call "horse fever" almost like baby fever, just the one with 4 legs that can run around some barrels.

Anyways, I know I do not need to get another barrel horse right now, due to the fact of unknown future location, but I can not help but feel like I want another one.

I am so ready to find out what the new year holds for my life so I can add another addition.

Does anyone else have this problem?
Wanting more and more and more and more!!! Hahaha

I get this all the time!! But since we keep our horses at home, my solution is pretty simple. I set myself a limit and NEVER exceed the limit, lol.

My limit is 4 horses. My husband and I both have "our" horses and there are two open spots for extras. I look around for cheap/free horses that are in need of a new/better home and are suitable for a project then I'll bring em in and work with them for a few months, building on whatever foundation they may have then after a couple months, when I feel they are ready, I'll find them an awesome new forever home. Not only am I satisfying my horsey craving, but I am helping these horses build their skills and find new loving homes... works out pretty good for me!

I'm sorry usually I am a good judge at if someone is being funny or smart butt, but with you I am finding it hard.

It is not like I have too many horses then I can tend to, I only have one at this time. When until about two years ago I have always had no less then two on my property but no more then four or five at one time. I just sold my other horse due to us just not really not clicking and me not really being in the mood to do heavy training, also another factor in my decision to sell was that my boyfriend has a 90% chance of get transferred to a new job that will be 3 to 4 hours away, meaning I would have to leave my beautiful 35 acres of land behind and find a place to bored my mare or any horses that I own. Although I could afford the bored on more then one horse I think it is smarted for me to wait to add another horse into the mix until I know 100% where I am going to be located and how much everything in my new location with cost me.

Also, I find it odd that you have never had the urge to get a new horse or add another horse to your possession. Again I just want to explain I am not one of those crazy horse collectors that just gets more and more horses because they want them and they think they are pretty. I enjoy change/new challenges. It has been hard for me to transition from training and riding multiple horses a week to riding the same horse all the time. I love my mare and I enjoy riding her, but I crave the wild and unknown curve balls that young green horses throw at you or even just the different personalities of riding a different horse from time to time.
