how to go about buying an aqha off the track...

Can someone give me some insight regarding purchasing a quarter horse/paint off the track. In michigan, we no longer have racing so id have to haul to indiana.

What should I expect if I go? How do you find the horses for sale? What should I anticipate to spend?

I can't answer your other questions, but will say every fall I believe it's Indiana Downs has an auction, both thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses. Something to find out about, I was told that most of the QH are sound and some are pretty well bred, and minum of $500 bid.

Oh that's very helpful! Ill have to do some research on that.

Rumor's breeder puts his horses on the track down there. Maybe I could contact him and see if he knows how to go about it.
