How to wear your hair?

Is there any way you usually wear your hair when you barrel race?

Ditto. Usually its either up in a pony tail or down. Honestly, with my new horse, I prefer it up and out of the way.... even if that means throwing it up a couple of minutes before I make my run and then immediately putting it back down. lol

Strength lies within the heart but the strength to trust lies between the horse and his rider.

If it is dress code it is a low ponytail with my cowboy hat, if it isn't a dress code then it is in a pony with a ball cap on.

Conformation is how far the horse CAN go,
Mind is how far the horse WILL go,
Training is how far it DOES go.

I usually braid it; it gets in my way if I leave it down.

If its a dress code I spend some time making nice big curls and put the cowboy hat on. If it's just a local race I put it in a braid or a ponytail.

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

Well, considering my hair is freaking thick and curly, not much can be done with it other than leaving it down or putting it in a bun.

I'm so jealous. We have to have neat buns with nets around them or stuff all our hair under our helmets. I would love to just do a low ponytail. Western wins the dress code contest for sure. I hear you can even where colors!

Help me horse forum! You're my only hope!

If I'm going to a rodeo or something like that, I normally just put my hair in a messy bun the night before, spray some "sprunch" spray on it and when I'm ready to leave, give it a few more sprays and take it out of the bun, and I have curls that look good with my cowboy hay.

Otherwise, I love messy buns and headbands!
