Okay you know what the top competer's that I run against and the world champions all use tie downs, So I don't get what the heck you guys are all arguing with me about??????????????????????? Even all my Charmayne James, Martha Josey, and Sharon Camarillo books I have say that you need a tie down if you have certain problems and there's a list of things!!!
But you do NOT understand that these world champions have trained their horses properly FIRST
, and the tie down is being used as a compliment to good training. You have NOT trained your horse properly.
You pushed him too fast too soon. He has serious gaping holes in his barrel training.
This tie down is only going to work temporarily. Your exact same problems WILL come back eventually if you do not instead FIX them.
You are NOT using the tie down for the same reason the world champions are using it for, so quit making that excuse. You are using it to cover up the holes in your horses training. They are using it as a compliment to prior good training. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE. I can't believe you cannot comprehend this.
But go ahead and post the video. I guarantee we are still going to see those holes we've been pointing out all along. Tack cannot fix training. Period.
It is not that tie downs are horrible. No one ever said that. Tie downs do have their place in barrel racing. Yes, many world champions do use them. But for your individual horse and your unique situation
, you have no business
putting a tie down on him. You are not using it for the right reason.
Please I'm way far from knowing everything and I never will know everything know one knows everything, I know my horses you don't, you know your horses I don't all horses are different!!! And believe me I do train my own horses you don't me......
You are sure talking like you are an immature know-it-all.
Yes we do know your horse. You've posted videos before about you barrel racing and we've seen with our own two eyes all the holes he has in his training.
Any Joe Schmo can "train a horse". Doesn't mean squat unless you actually do it right. I didn't want to be the one to actually say it, and I hate to sound so harsh, but you are not training your horse to barrel race correctly. You aren't. Face it. Take our advice, quit racing him, and fix his issues first. Or else he's going to become another one of "those" psycho barrel horses that cannot be controlled.
