Most definately! I honestly always forget about NBHA I should start trying to run there though. I normally run at the two gymkhana associations or Southern Oregon Barrel Racing Association (SOBRA) and for Oregon High School Equestrian Team (OHSET).

Although, college isn't far off for me. I won't be in the area anymore then so I'll probably end up seeking out a good place to run NBHA. (Is it obvious I know nothing about the association itself other than the obvious? )

We mostly run with different associations here but we also run NBHA GA district 05..I like running NBHA because there are more people and bigger payouts but that's also where our serious competition comes in..like Bret Monroe, Stephanie Horne, Kassie Wise, Chloe Gray, Kebo Almond (NBHA 1D Open World Champ)..and so on and so forth..We've even had to run against Brittany Pozzi..and she kicked our a****..but it was awesome seeing her run..NBHA also divides out their 1D, 2D, 3D, and 4D, sometimes even 5D if there are enough people..We do seem to have bigger patterns though, I saw where I think BarrelRacer23 has an awesome small pattern...

ETA - Georgia is the home of NBHA! It all started in Augusta, Ga then branched out across the world..now the World Championships are based back in Georgia. We have riders from all over the world come for the week..It gets crazy but awesome..

Sounds like a ton of fun. If I can get over my PTSD of Georgia I might actually have to look into it. lol (Fire ants o.o Jesus that was not a fun vacation for me.)

Baily right now is in the 2D/3D. We ran 4D a lot over the summer but I'm trying to move her up, because she has the talent to be a 1D horse if she tried and if I really pushed her to. It's proving very hard to tap into her natural abilities though. She's the pickiest most sensitive horse I've ever ridden.

Lol Yeah, you definitely can't get away from fire ants here..They are everywhere..

Lark is the exact opposite lol..She's all over 1D you just have to convince her to sit her turns..Nikki is 2D 3D and always consistent, which is what I love about her. She's not the fastest but I know what she's going to run everytime..My girls are so vastly different..Lark is all gas andloves big arenas.. Nikki is more correct and loves small patterns..

A lot of nice colleges this way too.. UGA, GA Southern, ABAC, Macon State, Middle Georgia College..it just depends on what your wanting to do..UGA and ABAC have awesome equestrian programs and scholarships..

SX Dr Peacharita. That mare is BAMF.
And Brian and his mom are so nice.

Really like Lance Graves futurity horse this year, Fortune N Fame. He told us that he thinks that's the best horse he's had in his career.

Bailey is a real free-runner. She can rate down but is developing the habit of running past in bigger arenas. So I've been taking her to my trainers big outdoor pen and letting her work in there to learn for awhile. She does well in smaller pens because she doesn't get to running quite as hard. She hasn't been to enough races to really know her job yet, but she's starting to really hunt the barrels with every race. By the end of the season I think she's really going to shine. Now if only I can get her over her fear of running over the painted white line in keyhole....

1RedHorse, She must be something if she's better than Miss Fortunes Fool..love her and her funny story of a back ground.

SH, that's funny..Hopefully she'll season out well and click with it...Hickory jumps the white line in keyhole..He's special.

That's the only reason I don't run keyhole with her for the equestrian team. I'll run it for the Trail Dust Saddle Club series because they use four poles instead.

I would love to get to ride Lindsey Sear's Martha. I love her unique turning style and she just looks like a powerhouse!

It is not enough to know how to ride; one must know how to fall.
