Well I am certainly SUPER glad that I never
ended up selling Red. The transformation he's made this year has just been amazing. I'm so excited to see what next year will bring.
Went to a gaming show yesterday, and after one of my runs, a good friend says "I bet you are sure glad you didn't sell him now!". And I thought, you know, I am so
Red has got a great little pleasure trot and a very cadenced lope. He'll do literally anything in the arena, which means I can enter in EVERY event with him. Most horses you couldn't do that with. (My old horse Beau I couldn't do every event, because he was scared of flags and didn't like to run next to the arena perimeter.) He'll place me in Western Pleasure and Trail, and place me in speed events too. Pretty versatile.
Sure, there's a few things he can't do and a few things we are still working on. And he could run faster than he did yesterday. But for his first full year of showing and gaming, we're coming along.
I had a ton of people interested in him when I listed him for sale. I'm super glad it didn't work out for anyone to come look at him.
