And actually, re-reading this part of the troller's post

Hmm, I honestly have no idea who those two folks are, but I hardly consider myself a "poser". I'd actually lay odds that I'm about 1000 times more "cowgirl" than you, Dmosleyboy, because I spent most of my life actually cowgirling for a living. You know, chasing cows...not cans .
Proud to say that I am a barrel racer and I have never dug a fence pole. I live in town. I have my horse on full care board and do not own a single thing that is camo. I'm not country, or a cowgirl. I'm an equestrian.

All I have to say is I would be more okay with men barrel racing if women could ride in the prca. I know some great women ropers. All the english classes are mixed gender why can't the western be too? I think everyone should have an equal chance in all events.

    Men DO barrel race.

Men DON'T barrel race in the PRCA but there is the All American coming up where they CAN.

FWIW I think rodeo rules are just fine the way they are. In a world of gray and blurred lines at least let rodeo be unchanged. (PRCA)

    Yearling
Back in ancient history when I did gymkhana there were a few guys. I only did little open shows. Every once and a while one show sponsor would have a jackpot and then a lot more men showed up.

I never even thought about gender at the shows. Many of the guys were obviously there to meet girls though.

What's wrong with being country? I've dug a whole lot of post holes by the way.
