Need saddle pad advice

So, I am still on the hunt for a good saddle pad, but I've narrowed down my options. I just need advice.

I need a pad that I can use every day (I usually work her up to a good sweat) and for barrel races/gymkhanas. So I don't want something that'll break down anytime soon.

I can either afford one of these: Classic Equine ESP Felt Top Round Saddle Pad -

Or I can get a few of these (and use a blanket for decoration over it): Mustang Canvas Square Work Pad -

Have you looked into Impact Gel? Really nice pads. I use one everyday. I love it!

Gah. That's certainly two opposite ends of the spectrum. Of the two, I vote for the first. I have something similar... Pro Choice, contoured withers (non-negotiable for me), felt thru & thru (preference for natural fibres). I needed something no longer than 30" to not be ridiculous under my barrel saddle and the price point was $100. A good using pad that looks sharp! I have pics in my album.

Go for the ESP.. I love those pads. I have a few myself and have never had a problem with any of them, they fit good, last a long time, and are just a great all around pad.. I'm not a huge fan of the round pad like you posted above, I like these the most..I actually have the pink and brown.
