He doesn't want to work! Lol. He wants to eat grass with his buddies. I trotted him a good long ways down the road and back today and did some circles. I'm going to do some hills tomorrow. He decided he wanted to start a new habit to try and get out of working today. He broke two lead ropes. He set back once I don't know why and another when I went to put the saddle on him. When he set back I lunged him good and he never did it a third time. But the third time I put a 25 foot line on him and tied it so it'd give a few feet if he set back. So hopefully that's through with! He didn't give me any attitude riding today so that's good. Posted via Mobile Device
Ok- at this point I think its time to call a professional to help you or have your mum help you out with him- sounds like its gettin dangerous.
Well he didn't do it again And he's never done it before. So I don't know what the deal was. We have had him for 4 years. I've dealt with setting back with my Arabian and he doesn't do it anymore. I just tied the rope like I did to where it would let him go back about 6-8 feet but not come undone. And he doesn't set back anymore. Posted via Mobile Device
Rode him for a couple of hours today. He's in a full cheek snaffle still. He's starting to soften up in the face and collect a little. Still need to build that muscle. I have him side passing to the left a little too. Posted via Mobile Device
