I tried to get him to canter just straight today but he trotted faster. We were next to the road so I just made him keep trotting for a long ways

When he set back I lunged him good and he never did it a third time. But the third time I put a 25 foot line on him and tied it so it'd give a few feet if he set back. So hopefully that's through with! He didn't give me any attitude riding today so that's good.

Well he didn't do it again And he's never done it before. So i don't know what the deal was. We have had him for 4 years. I've dealt with setting back with my Arabian and he doesn't do it anymore. I just tied the rope like I did to where it would let him go back about 6-8 feet but not come undone. And he doesn't set back anymore.

Rode him for a couple of hours today. He's in a full cheek snaffle still. He's starting to soften up in the face and collect a little. Still need to build that muscle. I have him side passing to the left a little too.
