Opinion Magnetic Products...

I am just wondering if anyone uses or has used magnetic products on your barrel racers. Also what is your favorite brand?

I have a mare who has arthritis really bad in her hock from a previous injury that I wanted to get a magnetic hock boot as my vet suggested. While I was looking for the hock boots I also found other products I am interested in. My gelding gets sore sometimes so I was thinking about getting him a magnetic sheet. I am looking at the BOT and PHT brands. Would it be a good investment or not?

Thank you!

I have used Magnetic products and had great success with them. I now use the BOT on JJ and the others get magnets. They are the cheap brand ones, I would LOVE to get a PHT just to have around but that is not really in my budget at the moment lol.

The BOT and the PHT are the best on the market for their products. The PHTs are the really the best magnetic product your going to get, and the BOT is the best (not sure if there is really another brand) of the Ceramic products.

Conformation is how far the horse CAN go,
Mind is how far the horse WILL go,
Training is how far it DOES go.

I have a full set of magnetic blanket to all the wraps. They are Ok. I prefer the Bioscan products myself. Work better and faster. Just an all around better product.

Thanks! I might think about going the BOT route. Have any of you used the Acu horse patches? I know Martha Josey had a web bit about them and looked effective! Little pricey though!

I have the BOT hock wraps. My mare enjoys having it on her and she seems to be doing well. I do not ride her right now...still have 2 months of rest to go and another set of xrays, but she is looking good!
