I tried to do a search to see if there was already a thread on this...but couldn't find anything, please link me up if there is.

What kind of pad and cinch do you find works best for your barrel racing? There are so many out there I'm having trouble deciding, could use some guidance! :)

I use the foam Air Flex cinches.

For pads, I use either Impact Gel, Won pads, or Classic Equine BioFit pads.

There are certainly A LOT of options out there, and there's also a lot of personal preference, so you are going to get a lot of different answers to this question.

For pads, I prefer either Impact Gel or 5 Star. Love the 5 Star because you can fully customize them and they come in any thickness from 1/2" to over 1 1/2". I like the Impact Gel, but the downfall with them is they've got the one thickness.

For cinches, I love the Professional's Choice SMx VenTECH Cinch. Spendy, yes, but I've gotten a full 2 years worth of riding on my first one. I thought about buying a new one for next year, but I"m going to clean it up really well and I bet I'll be able to use it next year too. Talk about durable! It's held up so well.

For pads I love 5 stars! Won't use any other pad now. They are great quality and my horses really like them as well.

For cinches I use just the plain Pro Choice neoprene cinches. I tried the VenTech ones but I noticed white hairs appearing around the girth area so quickly changed cinches.
