Saddle Pads

Lets talk saddle pads......what type of pad do you use?

I have a boat load of different pads and each horse I'm riding right now is using a different pad lol.

JJ- Classic Equine ESP
Scrat- CA PRS Pad
Polly- EquiPedic Pad

I have 2 ESPs total a few other CE pads, 5 Impact Gels, and a bunch of miscellaneous pads.

Conformation is how far the horse CAN go,
Mind is how far the horse WILL go,
Training is how far it DOES go.

I have an Impact Gel pad on Link

My other pads are a pro choice Air Ride and a Reinsman, my extras.

I have 3 ESP pads..Absolutely love them..I want to try the new Impact Gel, I've had friends say the others would get hard after using the pad a while and had problems with it. I also want to try the Classic Equine BioFit on Lark..It looks and feels like it would be nice for her but right now the ESP fits fine, it's just more of a want than a need..

I don't like the Professional's Choice AirRide pads..They make too much noise and always slide around under my saddle..Not a fan.

I've tried many over the past 30 years. I found the 5Star to be the absolute best.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

I currently ride with some cheap pad I ordered on a whim and I am in love with it!
Here is the link to that one --> Performer's 1st Choice Contour Western Pad - Black - 32" X 32" Technically Advanced Saddle Pads Western

I have had other pads in the past like the ESP pads by Classic Equine and the SMx H.D. Air Ride pad by Professionals Choice but have found they can get very loaded down with sweet and they are much harder to clean making them heavier.....I do like the support they offer.

I will probably stick with the pads that have the Neoprene bottoms because I just really like the way those are working for my mare and they fact that they are light and easy to clean....just a rinse of the hose does the trick.

I was considering getting an Impact Gel pad but they are so heavy and then the talk about them getting hard kind of sealed the deal for me to stick with what is working for me right now.

I would def recommend most pads with the Neoprene underside, I say most because some I have seen are very thin.
