Haha thank you Sky :) This particular mare is the most uncomfortable horse to lope so I was really nervous when I first started gaming on her, but she smooths out a TON when she starts haulin' tail. I'm thankful for that!

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

I didn't start using the whip until the last show, and I wouldn't have had it of been a young horse instead of her. Plus, she doesn't stand for kicking or leg action when we run in a straight line going home. She gets mad because she is sensitive to your leg, but she is good with the whip. There's a lot of differant reasons for the whip. My particular over and under makes more noise than it does contact. The stupid thing makes a huge cracking noise even when you just tap your leg with it.

Oh okay. Wasn't exactly pointing it out that it was bad but I was just wondering why. Lol

In the last video, you could see the horse slowing down repeatedly, and needing urging from Sorrel to go on. To me in the video, it just looked more like she was swinging it in a circle than doing any impact except after the initial hits.

I don't do barrel racing, but I do weaves around poles and sometimes, when my spurs don't work, I need to up the ante and get a crop and whap my partner a couple times to keep him going because he's lazy and just shuts out my legs.

I think the impact was more on myself. LOL I don't have the coordinationwith that over and under, I need to go back to my crop.

:p I hear you.

There are times I feel that I'm taking more of a beating for my ride just to get a good result!
