The very small snippet from the Scoop Shovel Race. My mom thought she was taking photos instead of video'ing. So she got the small piece where I just start getting pulled on the shovel!!

It looks like I was about to topple over (almost did) but I kept it up! There were previous ruts in the ground from the previous heats. They were almost a doosy!

I'm a newbie here and I thought I'd post some results from one of my local shows. All was going great on KD until he had a slight slip up and made a wide turn costing us 2.5 seconds and at least 4 places on the leader board finishing us in 6th with a time of 20.58. Oh well… I'd do a lot better if I didn't lean on the sharp turns.

During my last race I entered my new barrel horse Lowery and we came in 2nd place with a time of 17.896 seconds. Best of all it was Lowery's first race that mattered. $250 bucks in the bag!

Had a GREAT run today! Ran in my first ammy rodeo and me and JJ are starting to work as a TEAM again since I am TRUSTING my horse again.

Ran a 17.6 in Slack and was sitting 4th till the last Perf and ended up 5th bringing home a check :) He sorta got stuck on 2nd but not complaining since he lost both back shoes 2 days before lol good thing he is getting shod tomorrow :) Very pleased with my guy!

Conformation is how far the horse CAN go,
Mind is how far the horse WILL go,
Training is how far it DOES go.

I went to a gymkhana last Saturday, and my gelding won division six with a time of 33.542, lol. He did great on the pattern, we just did a nice slow lope. I even won a pink grain scoop!

It should be horse listening, not horse whispering

After having some bad luck knocking barrels lately I finally got some good runs out of Link yesterday. It was a IBRA and NBHA show combined, so I ran NBHA youth and IBRA open since. My youth ran I had a good first and second barrel and had to pick him up going to the third, but it was good. I lost my stirrup turning the third and my whip ended up under my leg so I couldnt push him home like normal but we still ran a 16.1. A 15.19 won it, I had a 16.15 :( so I didn't place but oh well. Then in Open he came off the first wide and I picked him up and moved him over which screwed up the second barrel, ran a 16.3 though to fast for 4D and to slow for 3D, a 14.8 won it. But I was happy, he's listening to me and getting faster each run, and more consistent.

My youth run, nobody recorded my open run

Well I came in 4th in 2D Friday night....even w a HIDEOUS 1st barrel Lol. So won a little $.

Rodeo season kicked off Saturday....our 4 state pro circuit. I was last to go...only drug the pen twice with 30 horses :/
1st was BEAUTIFUL....shut down to early on 2nd and I went to kick my boot caught the 2nd barrel. We had to stall and run around it....sent him on to 3rd...BEAUTIFUL...ran out. I was just sick bc even w that 2nd barrel run around we would've finished too 10. We were on the heels of some GOOD horses. But I was proud of him! 1st run w no exhibition and his 1st rodeo and he handled it like a champ. Super super proud. This is only his 2nd month of hauling and my 2nd week of owning him so I'm excited about our future!
