Sitting back on hind end

I am training my 3 year old for barrels, and I was wondering if anybody had any advice for getting her to sit back on her hind end more when stopping, going around a barrel, ect.? When I stop her I always back her up a few steps to disengage her hind quarters, and I do the same when coming to a barrel. I have not pushed her past an easy lope on the pattern and I will not push her faster until I am sure she will use her hind end more. Anybody have any exercises we could do to help her with that?
