LOL my horse jumps the chalk lines since she is also a jumper.

I LOVE the Pendleton Round up. I go every year. The pattern is crazy. Dirt to grass to dirt again. You almost need a thoroughtbred, not a quarter horse, to run the distance.

There's a roping or used to be anyway in Claremore, Oklahoma called the Pasture 101 or something like that. The ropers had to give the steers a 101ft head start. In conjunction with the roping they had a barrel race where the third barrel was a lake.

There's nothing like the Rockies in the springtime... Nothing like the freedom in the air... And there ain't nothing better than draggin calves to the fire and there's nothing like the smell of burning hair. -Brenn Hill

Haha the last barrel was a lake? How does that work? Did they run the first two barrels then take a 5 mile trail ride on the beach of a lake.

Maybe pond is a better word. There wasn't any trail riding going on. A 5 minute run was blazing fast.

I know how awesome would that be? Have you seen the video BarrelRacer23 posted? Of the 5 drum barrel race? That would be awesome too and I HAVE to find a way to make that happen here.

My horse would give out after the 2nd turn.
I have watched these runs before and am still amazed at the endurance these horses have.
