Tipping over?

    I did not read the "Yank" part as literal.

    Barrel racing is an aggressive sport. Sometimes, my trainer will say "Yank him through the turn!"

    This translates into "Ride him harder. He's getting away with something."

    And for me, "Yanking him" does not automatically equal getting all up in his face and bloodying his mouth. It means leg, seat, rein, voice, anything I can do to get a "snap" around the turn. As if I really do have him on a string and am "Yanking" him, but I am not.
